After some interviews, and a lot of Emails I finally could get some new sponsors onboard!
A new sponsor always brings some new motivation and I am really looking forward to a good winter, and a succesful 2012.
We are having winter now for quite a good while and the kitesessions arent that much fun anymore -> training is almost impossible… So I decided to skip the next KTE stop in France and instead going straight to Brasil for some weeks of training and a big big fotoshooting!
But I wasnt inactive in the meanwhile:
I am involved in a Movie, coming in the theatres next summer, where the main character is a kiteboarder! So they asked me if I want to join the project and teach the actor! SURE!! lets see what I get out of it …
Check out my new sponsors webpages:
and stay tuned for some new coverage I will upload next week.
Countdown for Brasil X- 9days
Straight after the German nationals where I ended up 4th,
we went to St. Peter Ording where the PKRA was going to take place.
This year the wind was not as good as the last years and it was raining a lot.
We had to be on stand by almost the whole week until we finally finished the trials.
Because of more than 60 freestylers participating in this event, and only the top 8 riders seeded, we had to run the biggest trials in the history of the PKRA.
I passed through my first heat, ending up 2nd right after Ariel Corniel, and had to face a weaker competitor in the second round, Sebastien Garat.
My heat against him, was quite good, I landed most of my tricks and the decision was close, but unfortunately he won…next time Ill get you!
The last weekend we were pleased to see an amazing final between Alex and Youri, and Youri could finally close it, receiving his first worldtitle! Congratulation bro, well deserved
Now I am back home for a few days and on next tuesday I will fly to Mallorca, to relax a bit, and check some spots over there!
Ive been there once for kiteboarding and I was on the water nearly everyday! – so I am really looking forward to that one!
after this week the summer is almost over, beside the fact we didnt even get one this year
and I will start to plan my wintertrips… Exciting stuff coming up
wheee such a long time without an update…
I was traveling so much the last weeks, had to attend some courses in university and
spend a lot of time with my new business that I neglect my duty of updating my site…
sorry
So a short overview of the last weeks:
Egypt-> KTE Sylt
Sylt was quite nice, strong wind, sunny, not too cold, all in all a nice event on the German uperclass Island…
KTE Sylt -> KTE Italy/Lamezia
and a 9th place
KTE Italy -> home
at home I could finally relax a bit, and do some other stuff besides of full on kiting, for sure I go training whenever there is wind! But its so much better to go for your sessions without a schedule…
Some new Coverage I got in Stance Magazine:

In two weeks the German nationals will take place on Fehmarn Island! Fingers crossed for some wind
The forecast for the next days dont look too bad, so I can train and prepare myself,
aswell for the PKRA in St. Peter Ording wich is following one week after the nationals! …
Updates more regularly now
It has been a little while since my last update so here we go again:
After the first Kitesurftrophy stop taking place in Dahme there were 2 weeks time to prepare myself together with Nils Wesch before the next one to follow in Büsum. We had some really nice sessions at our homespots…With the event the forecast didnt look promising at all, again! but luckily we got some thermical winds kicking in and we could run the first round of the freestyle…
So at the end there were 8 first places including me…
Straight after the event I had to repack my boardbag again, because I was going to leave the next morning flying to hurghada/Egypt.
I am in the Soma Bay right now for about 10days and I will stay a few more days to shoot and film for a big project a friend of mine came up with.
So far the conditions have been amazing, since I am here there has been wind every single day and it is good fun to ride with all the other guys that are and have been here, too. Julian Hosp, Cesar Portas, Stefan Spiessberger, Tobias Hoelter, Mike Blomvall,…
and of course our film crew! without these guys it would be half the fun
…
I will stay almost 2 more weeks and then I fly straight to the KTE stop on Sylt!
Ill keep you posted
Last weekend the first Tour stop of the German KitesurfTrophy was held in Dahme, at the baltic sea.
There was wind, but it was 90° offshore and super unstable so there was no chance that the freestyle could run a heat…
Now there is 2weeks left until the next stop takes place in Büsum.
I hope that there will be wind, last year it was perfect over 3 days, fingers crossed!
I promised you a video from my training in Tarifa but the conditions have been very bad in this month
From over 30 days being there we only got a bunch with good conditions, so the video got really short.
Anyway I hope you like it
The PKRA in France is over and I am already home for a few days now!
I didnt make it too far in the competition letter this time, but getting a place in the mainevent in this years level is a great success!
By the end I was ranked 17th and collected some good points for the overall ranking.
Coming home the weather was just perfect, warm, sunny and windy everyday!
Thats the perfect set up to get ready for the first German KitesurfTrophy stop in Dahme, wich will be held on the next weekend!
Looking forward to a funny and hopefully good event!
After a really long drive through Europe Nils and me finally arrived in a small village called la franqui…
We arrived two days before the start of the PKRA and today had a really nice session in a flatwater lagoon!
Troughout the day more and more guys arrived and we already had some good fun!
Lets see how the next days will be
After one month in Tarifa/spain I am back home in the north of Germany…
This 4 weeks there went over unbelievable fast, although the conditions werent as good as usual. From this 30days we had about 15 on the water and only a few really good ones.Anyway the days we had we used to the fullest and we were shooting, and doing pictures until the sun finally went to sleep
Im working on the next video, wich will be online soon, and in the meanwhile I have to get used to be back in the cold north. My region somehow resists the spring that came over Germany and the thermometer only shows 8°C
…
thanks for taking the pictures Ranno!
After 3 weeks in Tarifa I am back home now, but not for long…
Already on wednesday I will fly back to my almost second home and I gonna stay there the whole march to shoot,
and to train for the upcoming season!
In this 3 weeks now, Tarifa showed us everything it has to offer. Strong Levante days, beautiful Poniente days with a hughe lagoon and aswell the scary cold front south winds, blowing up to 40knots with loads of rain and a waveheight of about 5 Meters and more…
Now it is time to repack the boardbag, change the clothes and then I am almost on my way again!
I cant wait to go, 5days in freezing Germany is really enough
stay tuned for a new movie soon!
